BNSC Swimmers place FIRST overall at FIRST “Travel” Meet of the Season:  Congratulations to the team for your first place finish at the Sugar Creek Swim Club Penguin Paradise Plunge.  BNSC dominated the entire weekend, and our swimmers have many great swims to be proud of!

Illinois Swimming has finalized Top Ten lists for the 2011 Long Course season.  Three BNSC swimmers are listed as having times in the top ten for age/gender in Illinois:
Harrison Fudge placed 1st in 100 BR, 1st in 200 BR, and 2nd in 50 BR for 11-year-old boys.
Wyatt Harrison placed
3rd in 1500 FR, 5th in 800 FR, and 10th in 400 FR r 13-year-old boys.
Joshua Nepomuceno placed
1st in 50 BR and 3rd in 100 BR for 10-year-old boys.

USA Swimming has released its finalized Top Ten lists as well.  BNSC’s Harrison Fudge ranked 10th in the nation among 11-year-old boys in the 50 BR and 100 BR for the 2011 LCM season.

In addition, Illinois Swimming recently held its Athlete Recognition Banquet in Downers Grove, IL.  Guest speaker was Todd Schmitz, Head Coach of the Colorado Stars Swim Team (16-year-old Missy Franklin, new world-record holder in the 200m BK, trains with Coach Schmitz).  BNSC swimmers Harrison Fudge, Wyatt Harrison, and Joshua Nepomuceno were recognized for placing in the top three of their age/gender on the 2010-2011 SCY Top Ten lists and/or the 2011 LCM Top Ten lists.  Congratulations, guys!!
