Team Fees and Financial Information

BNSC’s Finance Committee meets a few times each year to address budget issues, monthly training fees, and financial policies.  It is each family’s responsibility to become familiar with BNSC’s financial policies.  For the most recent financial policy information, click here.  If you have any questions regarding training fees, meet fees, billing, budget issues, or financial policies, please contact Roger Wager (waarp4@frontier.com).

Monthly Training Fees:   Each family will receive a monthly, itemized e-bill for their swimmer(s).  Monthly training fees are as follows:

          Stroke Development:  $80
          Age Group 1:  $95

Age Group 2:  $110

Junior Varsity:  $115

Senior Varsity:  $120

Families with two (2) or more active swimmers registered with BNSC will receive a discount on training fees.  A 10% discount will be applied to the training fees of the second and subsequent swimmer(s) in the lowest training group(s).

ISI/USA Swimming Fees:  Added to each family’s e-bill once per year is an annual ISI/USA Swimming Athlete Registration fee (Illinois Swimming Incorporated).  This fee is typically $60 and is required for any swimmer participating in ISI/USA Swimming-sanctioned meets.

Meet Fees:   Included on each monthly e-bill are any meet fees incurred.  Meet charges include fees for individual events, relay events, associated surcharges, etc. that are assessed by the host team of a meet.  Our coaches must submit our team entries well in advance of the actual meet, and those entries must be accompanied by payment for the entries.  The host team will not provide refunds, and therefore individual families cannot receive a refund in cases of illness, etc.  Therefore, if you sign up for a meet, you will be billed for your swimmer’s events at that meet, even if you do not attend.

Equipment:  Equipment costs are additional to the monthly fees.  If the equipment is offered through the team (special t-shirts, swim caps, etc.), you will be e-billed.  Otherwise, you may contact or visit The Lifeguard Store in Normal for a list of required and suggested equipment preferred by BNSC coaches.  If you have questions regarding equipment, please talk to your swimmer’s coach.

Additional Resources:  BNSC also relies on external financial support of the club.  Our Sponsorship Committee is continually searching for businesses interested in supporting our team.  Our Sponsorship Information can be found on the Sponsorship page of our website.  For questions regarding the Sponsorship Program, please e-mail our Sponsorship Coordinators.  As a 501(c)3 organization, BNSC welcomes business donations.  If you know of a business that would like to make a tax-deductible donation to BNSC, please e-mail our Sponsorship Coordinators.

Likewise, BNSC welcomes any funds your employer may distribute through a grant program.  Please see your employer to inquire of any such program.  For questions on where to forward grant program funds, please contact our Treasurer.
