Bloomington-Normal Swim Club (BNSC) Sponsorship Program

1.      The Bloomington-Normal Swim Club Sponsorship Program is supported by the Booster Club as a tool to meet many of the club’s objectives:

a.       Increasing community visibility

b.      Providing opportunities for local businesses to support local youth activities

c.       Providing funds for the future growth of BNSC

d.      Helping us ensure our swimmers are able to train using more advanced methods and equipment

e.       Fostering participation in high school, state, and nationwide competitions for which they qualify

2.      If an official club sponsorship is obtained, the sponsorship year will begin in September and end in August.

a.       Posted acknowledgement of the Official Club Sponsorship will remain until December 31 of the following year (i.e. logo on the website).  For example:  A sponsor for swim year 2009-2010 will be a sponsor for the entire swim year through August of 2010.  If the sponsor chooses not to renew, the sponsorship logo and acknowledgement will be removed at the end of December 2010.

3.      To secure an Official Club Sponsor, the following steps should be followed:

a.       Identify a company whom you believe would be supportive of local youth sports.

b.      Contact the Sponsorship Coordinator and indicate which company you would like to contact.  The Chair will then make sure no one else has contacted that specific business already.

c.       After confirmation from the Sponsorship Coordinator, contact a representative from the company who will be able to make a decision to become a sponsor.  Print and personalize a sponsorship letter from the BNSC website located under the Booster Club link or obtain one from the Sponsorship Coordinator.  Present the representative with a copy of our sponsorship letter and information sheet and explain the levels of commitment. 

d.      Request a business card and copy of their logo so acknowledgement can be placed on the Web site and applied to a plaque.

e.       The donation should be submitted to the Payment bin at the pool or mailed directly to the club Controller at:

f.       The Controller will collect all checks, apply appropriate credits to the accounts and forward the Web site posting information to the Web master indicating level of sponsorship.

g.      The Web master will then update the Web site accordingly.

h.      The sponsor will then be given a thank you letter from the BNSC Booster Club and provided with a mounted photograph of the current swim team for placement in the business for Gold/Platinum sponsors.

i.        The sponsor will be featured in the program for each home meet.

j.        Each year of continuing sponsorship will include an updated team photograph and a new plate identifying the year of continuing sponsorship to hang below the previous year of sponsorship for Gold/Platinum sponsors.
